Always wanted to learn the fiddle?

Whether you're an absolute beginner or looking to enhance your violin lessons the Academy of Music is perfect place learn how to play Celtic Fiddle Music.

Our Celtic fiddle lessons are mainly Scottish, Irish, and Cape Breton style. You will learn much of the popular fiddle repertoire that is also played by fiddlers like Natalie MacMaster and Ashley MacIsaac.  We have fiddle and violin students at all levels ranging in age from age 5 to 81 years. 

In addition to their private fiddle lessons many of our students actively participate in Celtic fiddle groups like the Oakville Celtic Fiddle Club or the Georgetown Celtic Fiddle Orchestra.  Younger fiddle students can also play in the Oakville Junior Fiddle Orchestra.  Because of the social nature of traditional music our fiddle students get much more out of their classes by playing with other musicians.
